FuzeDigital Granted Patent Protecting its Community Knowledge Base
Protecting its gamification capabilities to measure and motivate broad stakeholder participation in creating and improving knowledge base content, FuzeDigital announced that it has been granted a patent for its reputation engine.
Seattle, WA - FuzeDigital announced today that it received a patent on its online social business software, the Fuze Suite’s
reputation engine. The patent includes 42 claims centered on measuring, motivating, recognizing and rewarding customers, staff, partners and other desired stakeholders for creating new and improving existing knowledge base content.
In addition to the
community knowledge base, the reputation engine also extends into the Fuze Social module of the Fuze Suite, allowing people across the online community and specific subject matter expertise to be quickly identified and called upon as necessary.
Much more effective than hoping that relevant experts happen to see a post in an activity stream, the
Fuze Suite leverages its reputation engine to directly ping relevant subject matter experts using the Fuze Community Dashboard desktop application, email and SMS messages to mobile devices.
FuzeDigital CEO and founder Chuck Van Court said, “People want to get quickly to answers that resolve their issues and that the brand stands behind. Customers expect it and brands can’t be lazy, but in order to do this the content must be perpetually evolved using real-world insights of relevant internal and external stakeholders. Neither traditional knowledge bases nor online communities do a very good job at meeting this need, but our community knowledge base does by providing a vital component to any organization’s social strategies for tapping into the power of their stakeholders.”
Dell Cloud Business Applications is a FuzeDigital client. Its community support manager, Chris Reyes, said, “Our customers make serious decisions based on the knowledge they get from our community. They wanted a transparency of trust and identified expertise to a level only FuzeDigital’s reputation engine could provide.”
Van Court added, “We are pleased to help clients such as Dell Cloud Business Applications leverage the power of social where, when, how and with whom they believe makes sense for their organization. The grant of this patent confirms how unique our innovative technology really is and helps protect this intellectual property our team has worked so hard to create.”
In addition to announcing its patent, FuzeDigital was recently certified as an AppExchange partner with Salesforce.com
